DI Dr Philipp Fleck

Philipp Fleck is a researcher at VRVis GmbH and was previously a post-doctoral researcher at Graz University of Technology at the Institute of Visual Computing (IVC) (former Computer Graphics and Vision). He received he’s Master’s in 2015 and PhD in 2024 degree in Computer Science from Graz University of Technology at the ICG where he was Supervised and Co-Supervised by Prof. Dieter Schmalstieg and Priv.Doz. Clemens Arth. Before his time at the ICG he was a Software Developer at Magna Steyer. From 2017 to 2021 he was CTO of AR4 GmbH (a spin-out of Graz University of Technology led by Clemens Arth) helping to bring Augmented Reality to industrial projects and partners across the world. His research interests range from AR, VR over Visualizations to Internet of Things (IoT) in different domains.

Since 2017 he is a reviewer for IEEE ISMAR, IEEE VR, IEEE TVCG and others. Dr. Fleck supervised and co-supervised over 30 Bachelor’s and Master’s students until now. Besides his research activities at VRVis and TU Graz, he is a technology consultant and prototype builder.
